![]() ![]() it'll just depend on what happens first, 10 ppl getting attuned to karazhan or 25 ppl getting to 70. I don't think either of them had an attunement. i would not be surprised if it was grull and mag that died first and then ppl go to kara. In the end those first raids are simply going to be composed of whoever gets to 70 and signs up first. on the flip side you do only need kings and might or wisdom so 2 palas would be enough, except your alliance guild prolly has more than 2 palas, similarly your horde guild likely has more than 5 shaman. same for horde and palas, unless a bunch of ppl reroll, you will likely have more shaman than palas. you aren't going to get that many shamans if you already have a bunch of palas and priests, unless they reroll or are happy being benched for the first few weeks. In the beginning I think karazhan was smoother with 3 healers but once ppl had t5 you could do karazhan with 2. healers had a bench rotation, tanks had a bench rotation. you'll get to do kara but you won't get to do grull or mag. as a tank, it seems like that first week of raiding might be disappointing for some ppl. ![]() you'll have 6 tanks but only need 2 or 3. Shifting into tbc, you need 3x 10 mans to clear karazhan so you have 25 ppl with some t4, 5 ppl getting benched for the first 25man. but there are fights where having too many melee is going to be detrimental like leotheras having 80% of the raid get whirlwinded won't be pretty. melee have fights where they control the success like fathom-lord, melee killing totems is pretty much what wins the fight kinda like jin'do. its not worth stacking melee because it'll only be impossible to heal since melee are punished pretty badly in BC on a lot of fights. the better choice if you only have 1 shaman would be to put them in with the healers or tanks for mana tide or wf on the tanks. windfury isn't totally mandatory because if you don't have it you probably will have kings and might anyway. so 1 dps warrior and 3 rogues + a hunter makes up a melee group. You just want a mix of classes, you'll probably only have 5 or so melee + the tanks. for most of the bosses you're only going to need 2 tanks but a 3rd is useful on some of them. I think we did 3-4 priests 2-3 palas 1 shaman 1 druid. melee group with a hunter gp3, healer group gp4, tank group (probably with pala auras or wf) gp5. Then the melee group and a healer group and a tank group, thats 5 groups. the idea also being to have a shadow priest, preferably a draenei in the spell caster group, so 1 shadow priest + 4 mages, boomkin + warlocks, or some combination of boomkin/shadow priest/mages/locks. I remember we had 1 feral/tank druid, 2-3 actual main tanks. the number of shaman we had grew over time but it was ppl rolling alts. if it was 3 palas it was 2 shaman if it was 1 shaman it was 4 palas. we did raid with something like 5 priests 3-4 palas and 1-2 shamans. ![]() We didn't have many shamans the first time only 2 or 3, going through my old tbc screenshots, because we were alliance we had more palas. Tempest Keep (Al'Ar, High Astromancer Solarian, Void Reaver, Kael'Thas)īattle for Mount Hyjal (Rage Winterchill, Anetheron, Kaz'rogal, Azgalor, Archimonde) Serpentshrine Cavern (Fathom-Lord Karathress, Hydross the Unstable, Lurker Below, Morogrim, Leotheras, Lady Vashj) It's also VERY ranged heavy, probably would get wrecked on RoS. Here's a starting point: There's probably some mistakes in there, I don't recall feral tanks being all that wonderful. We're only gonna assume rogues have glaives in Sunwell.Īlso I think ret's value is gonna change from Alliance to Horde due to Blood Elf Seal of Blood. I'll keep it clumped at the beginning then start separating for BT/Sunwell. ![]()
